Certified Mine Action Processes

Non-Technical Survey

Non-technical survey is the first and extremely important stage of humanitarian demining, which allows us to identify potentially contaminated or dangerous areas before the actual clearance begins.

Our foundation team conducts a detailed analysis of the area by collecting information from local residents, studying archival data, satellite images and official documentation.

Non-technical survey allows us to:

  • Establish the boundaries of potentially dangerous areas;
  • Identify priority areas for further action;
  • Increase the efficiency of technical demining;
  • Ensure the safety of residents of the region at all stages.

This stage is the basis for planning humanitarian demining, as it allows for rational use of resources and a prompt response to the needs of communities.
